Getting Started

I've been in a strangely prolonged transitionary period.  I'm finished with grad school, which leaves me a little sad.  I love school and I'm passionate about learning new things.  It's odd to think that I'm probably done with formal schooling now.  After a (so-far) lifetime of it, I must now shift my focus to other types of challenges ahead.  My unexpected medical emergencies and surgery gave me a gift of extra time, and for a little while, I've been able to be relatively still and to reflect on the direction in which I want to go.
